A prayer log says something personal: it shows your faith. So this site keeps as little as it can, and never uses it for anything except showing you your own log.
What we keep
- Your email, so you can log in and reset your password.
- Your password, only in a scrambled form nobody can read.
- The prayers you log: the date, which prayer, the time you tapped it, and whether it was late.
What we never do
- Sell it, share it, or use it for ads. There are no ads.
- Run analytics on you. Nobody else can see your log.
Your location
The first prayer times use a rough guess at your city from your connection. It isn't stored. If you tap "Use my location", the coordinates stay on your device and your browser sends them to AlAdhan to work out the times. They never reach our server.
Reminders
They're off until you turn them on. Then we keep your browser's push address and your coming prayer times, so a reminder can be sent. The push itself carries no words: Apple, Google or Mozilla only wake your phone, and your phone asks us what to say. Turn them off in Progress and that's deleted.
Who else touches a request
- Cloudflare runs this site and stores the data.
- AlAdhan calculates prayer times.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts, so it sees your connection's address.
- Apple, Google or Mozilla deliver reminders, if you turn them on.
Keeping and deleting
Your data stays until you delete it. In the app, go to Progress, then Account: you can download your whole log or delete your account, which removes your email and log at once. Private backups roll off within 14 days. Failed login tries are kept for 15 minutes, with your address scrambled, to stop guessing.
Age
You need to be 14 or older to make an account here.
